Increase military spending to 2% GDP by 2032

The NDP has stated that increasing defence spending is necessary due to a more dangerous global environment, committing to reach the target of spending two per cent of GDP by 2032. They plan to focus investments on initiatives such as pay increases, better equipment, new marine search and rescue stations in areas like central Nunavut, soldiers' housing, and veterans support, while also investing in Arctic sovereignty.
