The NDP work work to bring in 10,000 federally-sponsored refugees by the end of 2015, costing an estimated $74 million. They would also work to fast-track private sponsorship of refugees without a cap.

Along with this, they plan to resettle an additional 9,000 refugees/year within Canada from the Syrian crisis over the next four years. This additional settlement is expected to cost $63.8 million/year, and in total would bring 46,000 federally-sponsored refugees into the country by 2019.
