The NDP would “crack down” on unpaid internships within Canada.

The party intends to provide basic protections to interns in federally regulated industries, including limits on excessive hours worked, protection against sexual harassment and the right to refuse dangerous work—similar protections to those granted under the existing Canada Labour Code.
